WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS QUIZ?
If you are the kind of person who loves movies and would love to be in one, this Movie character Quiz is for you. If you spend more time thinking up situations that most likely will never happen. Like how you’re going to single-handedly save your friends and family from an invasion with your very professional secret spy moves (we’ve all been there). Then you could have what is known as the “The Hero Syndrome”.
If you were playing a character in a movie, would you be more suited to a main character, or a villain? Do you have, what is known as, The Main Character Energy where a person thinks of themselves as a key character in their own lives and feels like everything revolves around them. Or are you a supporting character in someone else’s story? Do you think you have evil tendencies and actually relate to the evil characters in the movies? They justify their actions by actually saying they did what they had to?
A lot of people spend time daydreaming about themselves being in a movie or what they would name the movie that would eventually be turned into a story. This quiz will eventually help you find out what your role in your story can be.
THE RESULTS YOU MAY GET
Protagonist
If a loved one were to refuse your help, would you accept their refusal? Or would you insist on helping, assuming you know exactly how to handle their problem, regardless of their need to work it out themselves? You are always the hero, ‘The Main Character’, the one who always saves the day. Friends, family, and even acquaintances come up to you with their problems and you always have the best solutions. Problems can’t seem to stay away from you. Vulnerability attracts you, the need to solve, or ‘fix’ someone because they need healing. You truly believe you were put on this earth to help others and that is your purpose.
You are excessively self-sacrificing and are willing to go to the ends of the world to help someone out. On the other hand, you’re always the center of attention, and also are entitled. Secretly, you need to save people because you require their appreciation and the credit for doing something so selfless. The “Hero Syndrome” or The Saviour Complex is when someone is always in need to be the hero of a situation, no matter the odds they always want to be the one to save the day.
Antagonist
Very similar to the Protagonist, the villain needs to win. At all costs. The “at all costs” part is what makes a person villainous- it is where the evil makes an entrance. You have a knack for breaking rules and mocking them. You aren’t absolutely and completely “evil” in the literal sense, but you can relate to the “bad guys” in the movies more than the good guys. You can understand why the villain acts and/or reacts the way they do.
You don’t like the real-life heroes around you and might find them to be wayyy too righteous. Their self-sacrificing ways are too insufferable and annoying. You find them too into everyone’s business and bothersome. Villains are allowed to have fun and nothing can stop them from doing things their way even if it means bending a few rules along the way (wink!)
Supporting Best Friend
A supporting character is just as needed as the main character to further the plot of the movie. Where would Peter Parker be without Ned, or where would Mia from The Princess Diaries be without her best friend, Lily. Many people also refer it to as the “Judy Greer energy”. They usually ends up playing the supporting best friend who is there to help the main character through their problems and is there to celebrate them whenever and wherever.
You show up for the people in your life whenever they need you, or when they’re feeling low. Whether it’s to flaunt your support, physical, verbal, or emotional you are there. Celebrating their successes and expressing your care and love for your closest friends without needing to be appreciated. However, you don’t fail to prioritize yourself when and where needed. You don’t let anyone take advantage of your niceness.
People with “Supporting Character Energy” understand that not everything in life is about them and that they’re part of a bigger picture.
Romantic Interest
A kind of a supporting character who not only selflessly helps the main character, but they also are there to motivate the main character using the power of love. You feel like you build and support your significant other and are always there to help them with their problems and are with them through all the highs and lows of their lives.
You do this purely out of your love for them and like the supporting character, you don’t always need to be appreciated. You will however prioritize yourself and won’t let anyone take advantage of you. On the contrary, your only role in life is not just to play the romantic interest, you’re someone who prioritizes their relationships and knows how to work out and maintain the balance between your personal life and your relationships.
